Xbox One March System Update Live
Although some of Xbox head Phil Spencer statements have us wondering how invested Microsoft really is in the Xbox One, that hasn't stopped its engineering team from unleashing the March update for the console.
Headlining the list of changes includes being able to buy Xbox 360 games on your Xbox One (sadly notRed Dead Redemption yet) as well as the ability to broadcast Party Chat when using the Twitch app. You can also include party members on Windows 10 PCs in your Twitch broadcast. Party Chat itself has been expanded to host 16 people instead of the usual 12.
Furthermore, the March update will let you record gameplay from 15 seconds all the way up to 5 minutes. Options in between include 30 seconds, 45 seconds, 1 minute, and 3 minutes.
There have been some new features added since the update was available to Xbox Preview members. These include improved thumbstick precision on the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller as well as information on controller firmware and battery life for those you who use the Windows 10 Xbox app.
Its nice to see Microsoft trying to refine the Xbox One which is now in its third year. In comparison, the PS4 seems to have had very little new added to it barring crucial features which Sony's black box should have launched with such as being able to back up games to an external hard drive.
