Dell Venue 8 Pro 5000 Tablet With Windows 10, USB Type-C Launched
Dell has refreshed one of its popular Windows tablets to stuff more processing power in it and upgrade the software. The company on Monday announced the launch of its latest Dell Venue 8 Pro 5000 tablet, the Dell Venue 8 Pro 5855. The improvements compared to the old Dell Venue 8 Pro tablet include a full-HD display, cellular connectivity support, and Windows 10 operating system out-of-the-box.
The company is currently selling its latest Dell Venue 8 Pro 5000 Series tablet from its official website, where the starting price is listed as $449 (roughly Rs. 30,300).
The original Dell Venue 8 Pro was launched back in 2014, and has since seen several iterations. The Dell Venue 8 Pro 5000 (2016) sports an 8-inch full-HD (1920x1080 pixels) display - a nice improvement over the HD (1280x800 pixels) display its predecessor shipped with.
The new Dell Venue 8 Pro is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom x5-Z8500 SoC clocked at 1.44GHz (up to 2.24GHz), coupled with 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of eMMC internal storage. It also supports microSD card, which you can use to add up to 128GB storage to the device.
The Venue 8 Pro 5855 also comes equipped with a USB Type-C connector, and has a Micro-SIM card slot. Other features of the new Dell Venue 8 Pro includes a 2-megapixel front-facing camera and a 5-megapixel rear shooter. The new Dell Venue 8 Pro also offers support for NFC, Wi-Fi 2×2 802.11ac with Miracast, and Bluetooth 4.0. There's a 19.5WHr Lithium Ion battery, and on the software front, the new Venue 8 Pro runs 64-bit Windows 10 Home or Pro.
